The artist managed to combine the warmth of autumn with the cold touch of the soon approaching winter in this wonderful piece of photography. This was achieved through the well chosen and nearly complementary contrast of the beautiful arranged and full mid-focussed leaf in the foreground to the cold blue, and in some areas even cyanic glooming backround. The usage of the glass panel that seperates the deep red leaf from the cold backround and it´s single lightsource is furthermore adding a nice impression of depth to the picture, just interrupted by those neat little water drops which iridesce like small stars lit up by the smooth glowing backlight.
Personel i kind of most like the pull-focus from left to right, adding a little dynamic to the picture, just as if the leaf would be blown away by a relentless western wind out of the observers sight.
I apologise for my poor english, i´m not a native speaker but try my best
